Career Guidance Inventory (CGI)

Developed for education and career guidance programs, the Career Guidance Inventory (CGI) evaluates student interest in instructional programs that are offered by Trade, Vocational, Technical Schools, and Community Colleges.  Forty-seven different programs are included in the updated edition of the CGI.

Participants are asked to answer to 235 paired activity descriptions. This includes selecting the preferred activity and the amount of interest in that activity. Approximately 45 to 60 minutes is required for completion.

Reliability and Validity

No reliability is calculated in the test manual for the CGI due to a reported uneven distribution among the responses.
