The Olweus Bullying Questionnaire is published by Hazeldon and administered along with The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.
The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program or OBPP for short, is the most researched and probably best-known bullying prevention program available today.
The Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence recognizes OBPP as one of eleven Blueprints Model Programs. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) also designates it as a Model Program.
The goals of the program are:
to achieve better peer relations at school
to reduce existing bullying problems among students
to prevent the development of new bullying problems
Schools administer the Olweus Bullying Questionnaire to students in grades 3-12 before the program starts and at regular intervals afterward.
Researchers compare the questionnaire results to a national database. You will receive a standard report with narrative that interprets the results and graphs of key data for use in PowerPoint presentations. Also included are new cyber-bullying questions, the option of a Spanish translation, and space for two multiple choice questions customized to your student population.
This questionnaire cannot be purchased online. Please contact Hazeldon at the link below for more information.
