The survey instrument is used to assess the key deployment-related factors implicated in the health and well-being of military veterans. With the nature of military deployment changing, with a larger proportion of women, National Guard and Reserves being deployed for more contemporary conflicts, the DRRI was developed to provide a more comprehensive assessment of the current combat-related experiences.
