Use Your Mind for Good

Newsletter

We’ve all heard that “the mind is more powerful than we know,” “you only use 10% of your brain” and other similar sentiments.  Well I’m here to tell you that it’s true, and I’m going to show you how to better use your mind for your good.  Our conscious mind thinks in pictures, and we use our unconscious mind to make lots of decisions.  So how can these two processes work together?  Here’s how to use your brain to graduate faster than you thought.

Think of something you’ve done really competently.  See the picture in your mind, locate where it is in your brain, and make it bigger, and bigger, and bigger.  Make it colorful, make it a motion picture.  Got it?  Now, take the image of you graduating, and in your mind, move it into the place where you were competent.  Let the waves of graduation roll upon those competent shores.  Then let the unconscious process do what it does.  Watch and be surprised!  That’s it, that’s the whole exercise.

(Of course, you can move any picture you want into that competent place.)

Have fun and see you at graduation!

 Best,

James Lani, Ph.D.
