Case Studies

Amgen needed expert analysis regarding the implications behind the longitudinal, healthcare data from the Study of Osteoporotic Fractures (SOF). Started in 1986, this study includes 20 years of prospectively collected data, covering periodic exams that assess osteoporosis care and outcomes, and originally included 9,704 Caucasian women from the U.S., aged 65 or older.
LensCrafters faced a proliferation of shifting consumer preferences because its customer mix had changed significantly over the past 15 years. Fortunately, their stores kept well-documented, transactional sales data that tracked specific sales metrics as well as consumer demographic data, providing our team with a wealth of data to segment around.
Exactech, a mid-sized medical device manufacturer, approached us with an unusual problem that, if left unaddressed, would prevent them from continuing sales of their orthopaedic prostheses in one of their larger markets. Ultimately, Exactech tasked our team with identifying meaningful differences between the most recent annual reports from the UK National Joint Registry (NJR) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry (AOANJRR) because an expert opinion from an independent third-party was required to refute any claims.
